Usually on Fridays we have OT and Speech but with Katie gone from the clinic they are still looking for an OT that day so we decided to take Fridays off for the month and see how it goes. Instead we have some flexibility in our schedule for some social outings. I had an early doctors appointment in Seattle so Dave stayed home to get Hannah off to school then brought the boys down down to meet me in Seattle. He went off to work and the boys and I went to the Aquarium. I have lived in Seattle 20 years and have never been. Since we have the prime card for Microsoft it was super cheap for me and the boys being under 4 were free. We had a blast. Right when you go in there is a huge wall of a fish tank. There was a diver in it and everything. It was very cool. Pictures were tough because it was so dark and my camera just doesn't do well like that but we got a few.
Around the corner was another tank but this one had waves going through it. the boys loved that because of the crashing water.

Then we headed into the tide pool room. the boys wanted see everything. It was tough because they both needed to be lifted up to touch the water. One worker was walking around with a creature in a bowl of water she bent down and let the boys touch. I don't know if they actually touched it but they both put their hands in the water. The main attraction was the jelly fish. They had different colored lights in the tank that lit up the fish. the boys stared at it forever.

We also headed over the outside building. There we stood in the fish dome under the aquarium. The boys weren't terribly interested so we moved on. We got to see the Seal and the sea otters. They were having a blast swimming in their tanks. The Seal especially was interested in the kids.

We explored the little exhibits and tanks around before heading back to the jelly fish, the wave pool and the big tank on the way out. The boys loved too look out the window to the bay and at one point a police boat was hanging out there. We even went into the gift shop and got some fun sea creature magnets to play with. The boys were tired and hungry after about an hour and a half so we headed home. We will definitely go back as the boys get older and are interested in learning more. Max spent the rest of the day telling people he saw the big fish. It was very cool. Max did a great job listening to directions so we could keep up with Jakob who definitely had his own agenda about where he wanted to go when.
